Article (1) Definitions

In implementing the provisions of this Resolution, the following terms and phrases shall have the meanings assigned to each, unless the context otherwise requires:
State: The United Arab Emirates.
Minister: The Minister of Economy.
 

Article (2) Economic Activities Permitted for Practice by Nationals of States of the Cooperative Council of Arab Gulf States

Nationals of States of the Cooperative Council of Arab Gulf States shall be permitted to practice economic activities in the State, in accordance with the principal of National Treatment applicable for the States of the Cooperative Council of Arab Gulf States, except the following economic activities:
1. Hajj and Umra Services.
2. Exclusive Commercial Agencies Services.
3. Fisheries Services.
 

Article (3) Amendment to the Economic Activities

The Cabinet shall be competent to conduct any amendments, whether it’s an addition, omission, or amendment, to the economic activities stipulated in Article (2) of this Resolution based upon a proposal submitted by the Minister after coordinating with the Local Authorities.

Article (4) Repeals

Cabinet Resolution No. (4) of 2007 Permitting the GCC Nationals to Engage in Economic Activities and Professions in the State, shall be repealed, as well as any provisions conflicting or contradicting with the provisions of this Resolution.

Article (5) Publication and Enforcement

This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force as of the day following its date of publication.
