Article (1) Definitions

For the purpose of applying the provisions of this resolution, the following words and expressions shall bear the meaning indicated next to each of them, unless the context requires otherwise:
Ministry: Ministry of Justice.
Profession: The Notary Profession.
Office: The office licensed by the Ministry for the private notary to practice the profession through it. 
 

Article (2) Fees for Services

1. In consideration of the transactions provided by the public notary and the services provided by the Ministry to the private notary, as indicated in the table attached herewith, the fees indicated next to each of them shall be charged.
2. With the exception of Items (16) and (17) of the table attached herewith, the private notary shall charge the fees prescribed in Clause (1) of this article, in addition to [30%] of the amount of fees prescribed as their professional fees.
 

Article (3) Amendment of Fees

The Cabinet shall have the exclusive authority to make any amendments to the fees contained in this resolution, whether by addition, deletion or modification.

Article (4) Final Provisions

1. The fees described in this resolution shall be collected by the means determined by the Ministry of Finance.
2. For the purposes of collecting the fees described in this resolution, the part of a month shall be considered a full month, and the part of a year shall be considered a full year.
3. Federal or local government agencies shall be exempted from the fees mentioned in this resolution, however, such exemption shall not apply to the companies owned by these government agencies or in which the same holds equity stakes.
 

Article (5) Repeals

Cabinet Resolution No. (61) Of 2017 on the Fees for Transactions provided by the Notary Public and Fees for Services provided to the Private Notary, and any provision that contradicts or conflicts with the provisions of this resolution, shall all be repealed.

Article (6) Publication and Entry into Force

This resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force as of the day following the date of its publication.
